Arthur Simone is an actor and artist living and working in Austin, Texas.

A 1999 theatre graduate from Oberlin College, Arthur has acted in an ungodly number of plays and has appeared on various screens in Days of Delusion, Big Momma’s House 2, Faith of my FathersThe Evil One, Jigsaw, Friday Night Lights (series), and multiple online projects, including Proper Ollie, Kittywood, and the Hayes Carll video for “She Left Me for Jesus.”

In 2003, he studied improvisation at Chicago’s Improv Olympic and became a charter member of ComedySportz New Orleans before relocating to Austin in 2005 and helping to found ColdTowne Theater, a critically acclaimed mainstay of the ever-growing comedy scene. Arthur continues to perform and teach in the ColdTowne Conservatory alongside some of the best teachers in improvisation and sketch the South has to offer.

In 2009, Arthur penned and performed to sold-out crowds in a one-man show, Dear Frailty, which ultimately led to his award as Best Actor from the Austin Chronicle. Other awards include the 2006 O’Henry Pun-Off World Championship, Austin Air Guitar Champion 2007 and World Air Sex Champion 2008.

Arthur paints in the style of abstract expressionism, and has exhibited at Around the Coyote, Echo Gallery, and the East Austin Studio Tour. In 2007 and 2008 he was a finalist for the prestigious Hunting Art Prize.
